Premium plant-derived and microbial-sourced raw materials for high-yield industrial biotechnology applications
Organic nitrogen serves as the metabolic backbone for microbial cell growth, enzyme biosynthesis, and targeted primary or secondary metabolite expression in modern biotechnology. Unlike inorganic nitrogen sources (such as ammonium salts or nitrates) which require high energy consumption for microbial conversion into cellular proteins, complex organic nitrogen compounds provide ready-to-use polypeptides, oligopeptides, free amino acids, growth factors, and essential trace nutrients.
Our biological nitrogen food products, such as peptones, yeast extracts, and plant-derived proteins, are crafted to meet these nutritional demands. Developed through advanced enzymolysis rather than harsh acid hydrolysis, our production line preserves delicate bioactive compounds, trace elements, and vitamins. The result is a highly bioavailable substrate that reduces metabolic lag phases and maximizes product yield inside bioreactors.
Established in 2008 and headquartered within the Science and Technology Innovation Area of the China (Beijing) Pilot Free Trade Zone, Beijing Hongrun Baoshun Technology Co., Ltd. is a high-tech enterprise dedicated to research, development, production, and sales. Recognised as both a national "High-tech Enterprise" and a "Zhongguancun High-tech Enterprise," we have spent over 15 years developing biological fermentation and cell culture solutions.
In 2018, we expanded our production capabilities by establishing a state-of-the-art facility in the Qili Industrial Park in Langzhong, Sichuan. Spanning over 40,000 square meters of production area, this facility operates separate, independent processing lines for animal-derived and plant-derived products. By separating these processing lines, we prevent cross-contamination and satisfy global phytosanitary regulations as well as cultural requirements, such as Halal-compliant production paths.
Phase I and Phase II factories represent significant scale and capacity. We manage custom requests and bulk orders with consistent batch outcomes, helping support clients from lab trials to commercial production.
Our five subsidiaries—Beijing Yaoyou Technology, Sichuan Baoshun Biotechnology, Sichuan Romgee Biotechnology, Sichuan Yingwen Technology, and Sichuan Runxiaobao Technology—work in synergy to manage our operations from basic research to global logistics.
We operate under certified ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems and maintain MUI Halal certification. By enforcing a strict QA/QC program, we ensure that no batch leaves our facility without complete certification analysis.
Understanding the nutritional requirements of different microorganisms is key to successful fermentation. We provide a broad portfolio of animal, plant, and yeast-derived nitrogen matrices to support diverse cultivation targets:
Obtained from autolyzed primary baker's yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae), our yeast extract is rich in free amino acids, B-complex vitamins, purines, pyrimidines, and organic co-factors. Ideal for vaccine manufacturing, starter culture propagation, and high-density growth in bioprocesses.
Our pancreatic digests of casein (tryptones) and enzymatic beef digests provide a rich source of nitrogen, amino acids, and peptides. Tryptone is particularly rich in tryptophan, making it a standard choice for E. coli fermentation, molecular biology studies, and standard laboratory media.
Derived from non-GMO soy, wheat, and malt substrates, our plant-derived peptones and extracts are designed for animal-free (regulatory-compliant) bioprocesses. Our malt extracts provide a balanced mix of nitrogen and carbohydrates, making them highly effective for cultivation of yeasts, molds, and industrial enzymes.
Our biological nutrient sources are used across several industries worldwide, including human biopharmaceuticals and sustainable agriculture:
Our peptones and yeast extracts serve as basic components for dehydrated culture media, agar plates, and diagnostic testing reagents, supporting reliable results in academic research and quality control labs.
In industrial biopharma, our products provide essential nutrients for cells producing monoclonal antibodies, recombinant proteins, vaccines, and therapeutic enzymes, supporting high yield and purity.
To produce lactic acid bacteria, bifidobacteria, and bacillus species, growers require nitrogen sources that support cell density and survival rates during freeze-drying. Our yeast extracts and peptones are optimized for these requirements.
In modern agriculture, organic nitrogen inputs act both as plant biostimulants and nutrients for beneficial soil microbes (e.g., Trichoderma, Bacillus subtilis). Our non-GMO plant peptones and corn steep liquor powders support soil biological health and plant nutrient uptake.
Our raw materials support the growth of microbial flora used to degrade pollutants in wastewater treatment and manage water quality in high-density aquaculture systems.
Industrial microbial strains vary in their nutritional requirements. A peptone that works well for a fungal culture may not support optimal performance in a bacterial fermentation. To address this, Hongrun Baoshun offers comprehensive customization services to meet specific process requirements:
We adjust the ratio of free amino acids to larger polypeptides to match the metabolic needs of your strain.
Available as fine spray-dried powders, granulated non-dusting formulations, or concentrated pastes depending on your processing needs.
We provide free testing samples (up to 500g per product, shipping excluded) so you can evaluate performance in your system before committing to bulk purchases.
Importing biological raw materials requires strict compliance with international phytosanitary and veterinary regulations. Hongrun Baoshun coordinates shipping and documentation to ensure smooth customs clearance and regulatory compliance:
As biotechnology moves toward automation and high-density cell culture, raw material specifications are becoming more strict. We are committed to developing new technologies to meet these demands:
We are using computational modeling to select enzyme combinations that yield targeted peptide distributions for difficult-to-express therapeutic proteins.
We are expanding our non-GMO, allergen-free plant peptone line to provide reliable animal-free alternatives for biopharmaceutical applications.
We are implementing water-recycling systems and green extraction techniques at our Sichuan plant to reduce the environmental footprint of our operations.
